To clean, simply wipe down with a damp cloth, or for stubborn stains, use warm soapy water. Pow Pots are made out of fibreclay (a mixture of clay and fibres), which is much lighter and stronger than traditional terracotta. However, they can still break, and the paint can mark or chip if struck, so please handle with care.
As they contain clay, they are porous, so always use a drip tray and protect surfaces underneath, especially indoors. They are painted using environmentally-friendly, water-based, hard-wearing external masonry paints.
You can plant directly into your Pow Pot. However, where possible, we recommend using an inner container and saucer, which will prolong the finish of your pot.
